The sky is falling | #NaPoWriMo2020 | Prompt 17
I was lovebound, with you
All my rants and exclamations
Were first to reach only you
I'd wink at you, and you'd always return
You changed hues like my moods
Sparkling yellow, crimson reds
Calming blues and deadly greys
When I cried, you shed tears too
And sometimes, when I'd sulk at night
You'd flash a charming crescent smile too
If I ever felt incomplete here, and dull
You'd ask the full moon to fit the puzzle
You'd ask me what'll make me happy
I'd say, I can't see you properly, I want more
Within seconds, you'd drive away the gloom
And shower me with a starry blanket
What went wrong then, you didn't tell me
Didn't talk to me, didn't wink at me anymore
I kept waiting, with you, for you, until they said
"Haven't you heard? The sky is falling!"
