Promise?

Promise (verb) [ˈprɒm.ɪs], to tell someone that you will certainly do something

Born out of love, never treated like it

Underrated and disregarded, lil promises

Not of love, not the ones ending in heartbreak

Not of pain, not the ones leaving in disgust

Promises that are unsaid or unheard

Promises of calling back when free

Of letting them know each time

Of present instead of forevers

Only if we try living each promise a bit more

Maybe appreciate it like it deserves

With a stronger might, and a deeper heart

With lil promises we'd have knit ourselves a forever
