You're a Gift
An eye for an eye
Never did the twinkle lie
As if fallen from the sky
And care of nothing but fly
But the world has to befall
As it starts to crawl
Don't do this or that at all
Listen and respond to call
Do well and be this
A lot you've to miss
Let your heart dismiss
And learn to submiss
Learn to be corrective
And being adaptive
For a life the world wants you to live
And the unwanted dreams it may give
If there's anything to learn
The art of denial and being stern
Towards childhood, you return
And the norms unlearn
Plans to create
Start off and not wait
Let not the world evaluate
And render you automate
Perceive and achieve
While relations you weave
Love you receive
You're a gift if you just believe.
