Sunflower and Rainbow | #NaPoWriMo2020 | Prompt 26
They compare me to brightness and yellow
And with you dear rainbow, they relate exquisiteness
You're a bunch full, making the sky iridescent
He must love you for it, doesn't he?
I'm a sunflower, and I think I'm never enough
The sun is my companion, I look up to him
But I sulk at night, for he leaves me each time
To struggle with darkness and shrivel within
You must know the sun and rain dearly, no?
It's not everyday they come together
But when they do, you always spread your arms
Like giving them a bear hug after the storm passes
I have a request, can you please take it to the sun?
He seems to adore you, and leave me in the open
I know I'm making invalid claims and demands
But for once, please help me get his charm?
