Space, falls and woebegone | #NaPoWriMo2020 | Prompt 14

Prompt: Write a poem using the words: space, falls and woebegone.

Falling through space, he stood woebegone

It wasn't a choice to fall off, never is right?

Looked left, right and above

Sparkly clean, no soul breathing near

He spotted a Open sign at a dessert shop

Never seen before delicacies, lined up across

He pushed on the door, it tinkled a sweet chime

And a sweeter voice said, 'Coming'!

She had golden skin, curled up locks

And the freshly baked smell added to her charm

He asked, Do you belong here?

This place feels uncanny, and so do I

You might not believe me when I say

But I came here exactly like you did

We all do actually, you won't see them though

Because this place is quite ruly

This place helps you to believe

But if you can't, then a loop is all it gives

Have a muffin, maybe you'll feel nice

He fell into a trance everytime he bit into it

But he wanted more, more to take over him

She smirked, as she added one more to her list

In a parallel word, she lead him on

Falling through space, he stood woebegone
